The Superintendent's Honors Music Festival is an annual event that showcases the finest student musicians from Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Music students from across the District are encouraged to audition for the opportunity to participate in one of the instrumental or vocal ensembles. Prestigious guest conductors rehearse the students and present them in concert.​​

Dade County Music Educators Membership

Teachers must be members of Dade County Music Educators Association (DCMEA) to register students to audition. If you are not sure whether you are a current DCMEA member, please email infodcmea@gmail.com.

Teacher Responsibilities

• You, or an M-DCPS employee from your school site that you designate, must be present at all in-person auditions, rehearsals, and concerts that include your students.

• You must complete field trip forms for your students to participate in rehearsals, concerts, and in-person auditions, and bring the forms to each event. If you are designating a different M-DCPS employee from your school site to attend, enter their name as Name of School Group Sponsor. We have created pre-populated templates for your convenience:

• Every student selected to perform in the Superintendent's Honors Music Festival, and their parent/guardian, must sign and submit a Parent-Student Contract. You must bring the signed contracts to the first rehearsal.
